TYPE 3. CRASH BUMPER STOP.
As I have not really decided which ( hotrod-custom-rat- and all of above) style to venture down, I came up with an idea when I was in the process of
changing my late Type 3 bumper to a earlier style bumper. As the steel inner crash bumper was rusted underneath, I played with the thought of some
chequered paint work. After several weeks of having tape issues, I finally put it back on the Notch. As you can see I didnt get around to changing
that bumper and you can't really notice the chequered paint either:P
Cheers,
Brad

It was at the time but it took up to many hours to get a result that you really dont notice. Maybe the earlier bumper will show more of the goods.
Fingers crossed. |

I put the early bumper on the (1970) Notch and it wasnt that hard. Each bracket has to be bent approx 20 - 25mm and you need to drill new mounting
holes.
But................. the early bumper shape doesnt allow for the crash bumper stop. So I put the later version bumper back on and I will try and think
around the problem with a few beers. |
