3gte turbo how / can you do valve clearances ?


can you do ajustments to the valves on a 3gte toyota motor ?

To adjust them you change the shims ontop of the valve springs. Measure the clearance, pull out the shim and measure the thickness then buy new shims either thicker or thiner to get the correct clearence, you can save a bit of money by swapping some shims around too.
I'm assuming this motor has a valve train something like the Toyota 7MGTE (DOHC).
