Take gearbox to pieces, Get greman autos to grind back the clutch teeth on the fourth gear and put it back in.
Should take about a year if you work at my pace.

I enquired about this recently, as the first decent time I got to drive my buggy it jumped out of 4th twice in a short distance. Advice on here reckoned that there are ways to get around it, or alternatively an expensive fix or replace job.

I enquired with my mechanic about it, apparently an easy but labour-intensive fix......he guesstimated a bill of $700 start to finish...I could have saved a few bucks at the moment as he already has the engine out...but this job will have to wait.

Alternate is to either drive with left hand on stick (slight pressure), keeping the gear in, or to do other things like using an octopus strap to hold it. This is what I'll be trying when I eventually get this thing on the road.

I'll probably be looking for another good box for eventual change, see what happens.

get it rebuilt properly. It costs, but it will be worth it.
