skid pan vs cooling
hey ho.
i used to have this - no cooling or oil buildup probs but everything hanging free....
now this. its great for no worries when bottoming out or rail sliding over things...
people rekoned that i needed holes in the pan for cooling but i recon i need holes to let the oil soaked sand out from pushrod the leaks.
...so i've got
are there any experts that can say that this will be ok from a cooling POV for a standard worn out 1600tp slugging a 620kg buggy through the dunes
this coming summer (30deg plus)...
or do i just buy & fit a oil temp guage and fix my oil leaks??

Obviously fixing your oil leaks is going to be a good idea, and fitting oil pressure & temp gauges is also a good idea. The bash plate shouldnt cause
any cooling issues. I'd rather have the bash plate and know your going to be able to drive home rather than have had the oil filter torn off........
