car polish

just wondering if anyone has used that car polish that has the little lipstick type thing for chipped paint and the polish that goes with it. just wondering how that stuff goes on. does it really hide chips as it claims? the front of my winston has little paint chips from a previous owner driving on a gravel road.
Or does anyone know a really good car polish that isnt wayyyy too expensive? im feeling like a bit of a treat today.
