Did you know that it was 10 years ago this past Easter Dave?
Does any one know what happened to the car that Glen Virgin took to the VW Nats 10 years ago?

i still see glen often, he was very keen for me to get the car- he has given me all the photos, advertising signs trophys etc. to go with the car,
i even have his dads engine stand spring compresser etc.
thatcar he took to nats is no longer around
but the parts have gone to good use in other adelaide cars
glen is keen to have a steer when the car is running - it will have to wait a bit he had a triple by- pass 2 weeks ago

What engine and tranny combo have you got planned for the car?
From memory it was raced with a 78.4X100 type 4 in the end.
While I am here, Adam, at what Rpm was the power peak at, when you dynoed your '57 with the type 4?

it ran the 11.8 with a 88x82 engine with IDAs, the next car ken built was a t4 powered "56( one of tony thorntons early cars) it ran 11.8 first
time out with no 3Rd gear , so it had plenty left in it. the car was then sold to another adelaide racer who who thought he new how to go faster but
the best he went was mid 12s the mechanicals out it were stolen and never found
not sure on engine combo yet , but i have a autocraft engine that rod penrose found for me so that may go in (shane from wolongongs old engine)
peak power in the"57 was at 5700 , although it is still running rich so should have a bit more in left
will post pics soon
