i be looking at with a set of 044 heads and and a set of dual intake quad throttle body fuel injection system thingys. im looking at turbo fuel
injection but don't know if im gonna have the money, and i can always turbo it later once i get the feeling for more power, its like a freaken

I would also run a full weight flywheel on a Baja for the extra torque gains........

stock cam and i dunno what compression ratio, i know its higher than stock, its a street baja so torque isn't a major issue since it has the large
ass wheels on the back. im looking at trying to get between 120 and 200 hp eventually. i just need a rough estimate of power, like within like 10-20
hp |

im going to say most likely 65 with the rest of the boys cause i know my t4 bug is only about 80-90hp, and its a stock 2L. that and the highest hp on
the sydney dyno day was 150 or so and that was a turbo baja running a 1916 i thinknn[ Edited on 16-8-05 by barls ]

Only if the operator doesn't know what they are doing or they deliberately set it up incorrectly to give a false reading.
That's why Dyno Dynamics beat them all. Lock it in Shootout mode (if the operator has the training and certification to get shootout) and you can't
fudge the results at all and they'll be exactly the same on any other dyno using shootout mode.

I would stab in the dark and say 65 to 70 hp
depending on comp ratio and tune up.
It might make 90 with the two carbs, bigger cam
and 044s...but that depends on what the 044s
are like. Unported they may flow less than stock because the bigger valves are shrouded by the chamber.
The twin carb manifold will wake things up.
These guestimates are flywheel HP.
850kg car will run low 15s at around 85mph with 90hp @flywheel.
Don't be disapointed if it makes 75 at the wheels.

so even with the cam, heads, twin fuel injection, it won't be that exciting? what about some new valve train and what else can i do to give it more
power without going turbo??? im gonna get a deeper sump and a 16 pass oil cooler with a thermo fan and stuff like that to keep it cool since im up in
north queensland. about 40 degrees in the summer. |

Ben, it will be a very fun engine and I think you will be happy with what you have planned.
If you keep the stock camshaft, I would try to find someone reputable to do some seat, chamber and then port work on the 044s.
With your big tyres, a small cam is all I would recommend, say C25 or W100.

thanks for the advice, im going to go with the twin fuel injection and get an oil cooler and deeper sump and the heads worked and stuff like that,
also disc brakes and a camber compensator and sway bar, then later on look at doing the turbo with the wrx turbo and see if i blow anything up :cry oh
well, can only try |

If your going to go EFI, turbo and all the rest blah blah blah you reckon, you will unload enough gold into that thing to have your Suby turbo engine
fitted for you while you wait.
The kind of horsepowerand modifications you are dreaming about does not come cheap M8.
If you want a reasonably close estimate of your road wheel power, book it onto a dyno for 15 minutes and you will have your figures on a bit of paper
in your hand.
