Anyone know of a low-cost/good value place around Adelaide for sandblasting a tube frame ?

Universal Metal finishers.
Wing st Wingfield.
Speak to Adam.
Tell him Daniel with the VW's from the bike shop sent you.

Thanks Steve - Just gave ABINETT's a call, they're concentrating on the powder coating side of the business at present, and suggested Universal's as Daniel had already done

Try Colin at Access Blasting
Hanson rd Wingfield.
He does all my floorpans, bodyshell's,doors gaurds, wheels.
On customers cars and my own.
He is ex paint and panel aswell so has a really good eye for detail.
Wont just grab something and blast the shit out of it like every sand blaster!
Mention the "VW man" and he will look after you.

Thanks Dragbug - I'll give him a call

Matt - will do, so far been quoted between $250-$400, but that's just over the phone without viewing the frame. FYI that attached photo's what I'm looking to get blasted.

Just an unqualified comment - would that be better being dipped - or is it a little crusty?

Yeah - I also want to see what holes may be lurking under the combination of sh*t, 2-pack, powder, and brushed enamel that it's currently wearing - although I hoping that it's all fairly solid good metaaaal

Kimbo,
thats a pretty good price for blast only, we would charge about $300 for blast only and probably another $350-$400 to prime and topcoat

.. and one more for luck - the resizing and reduction in picture resolution has made the after shots appear a bit crappy, but it is much better in reality
