I am cosidering an MSD two-step ignition type of
rev control mainly for consistency.
I have heard they can cause damage to turbine wheels
but don't believe this to be the case.
Motorcycles at the drags use this system to spool up
their turbos before the leave the line.
I think that for dragracing, the fact that you leave the
line at full throttle, the car will always leave better.
Some people trigger the lower setting RPM switch on the hand brake.

Are you talking about a lineloc ? I use one with a small button on the gearstick. Makes preloading easy, launch on the release of the button, kinda one less thing to think about.
I have seen set ups that use another solenoid on the hydraulic clutch, then all you need to worry about is the throttle input. Would take a bit of setting up to stop the clutch just dumping when the button is released.

Sam Biondi (?) is the lineloc I am using, cheap from Summit (about 30 bucks US I think).

No I'm thinking more the electronic launch control were ign is dropped out on various cylinders to maintain a set RPM on the line. High exhuast velocity is maintained which helps with boosting off the line??
I think thats how it works???

Hey Pete,

I think I remember you installing a LT10s. If so you can control ignition rev and cut through
the AUX. You can switch it through a button on the steering wheel or on the handbrake like Dave said. If you are using the AUX, send it back to Microtech for another one to get installed.
Give the tech guys at Microtech a call, they will tell you all the goss.
