i believe it was up and on the right does that sound to you barry. i spoke to bond a little while ago and i think its just out of alignment but it
could also be the plate didnt think about that.
yeah barry will have to catch up for a beer soon maybe the friday night before the shootout maybe. not this week as ive still got to finish the anti
malaria medication.

It is the big tab to the right and up
If you can get it to work without the kit then either you are not setting it up right or out of alignment (:duh)
What i mean is
a) the plate is moving when you bolt it up. When it is in standard mode and working, get a scribe and outline the plate. When up put the kit in look
down and line it up with that. Amazing how "out" you can be when you are 20mm higher
or
b) the plate is wrong way or something. You did take the knob off and slide the mushroom on???

i think it was just the alignment - you're right though, my eyes ain't so good with another 20mm in the picture. the mushroom is on the right way
and when i try again this weekend will outline the plate first ..... is
funny that when you buy these things all you're told is that its a 10minute job and it bolts straight on haha...
thanks again

Hey, was having the same problem with my shifter. The crunching is you hitting reverse. I just changed it till i got the thing right. As for
adjustment, http://www.acvw.com/article.asp?DetailID=38
i think i had mine as far right and forward as it would go. The crunching is just the little guide plate not the right way round. Just have a look at
that diagram ^^^^ and copy it. good luck with it
