Quick shift for bay bus?

I want to fit a close ratio shifter to the Helbus.

I have looked on the Flat 4 website and they don't list a type 2 elimimator shifter.

Comments appreciated on these or other brands. Scat, Empi?

The shifter must be suitable for a bus, and do not want a shifter with a big T handle.

I have rung some places and get varying answers, so I thought I would get some feedback from owners who have had them fitted.

Get a SCAT one from Custom Offroad....works well for me!! You could always unscrew the "T" handle and install something else?

I like the look of the Empi shifter.

Is the Scat one similar?

Not so keen on the extra handle for rev lockout.

i have the empi one its awesome :tu: really easy to fit and shortens the shift throw by alot, not to mentions tightend the gear stick feel as well (less slop)

there's always the $10 quick shift kit, that retains your original shifter. you don't need to cut the floor mat either.

Hmmm I do like the look of the empi one, and it would be good to have all new parts.

Lobus, can you get a closer shot of how much of the mat you had to cut? Or anyone?

Our mat has a couple of cracks just around the shifter anyway.

I have a Scat one and have found them to be the best on the market for the money. If you get a Empi one make sure you have a look at the quality of it. In particular the wire that goes to the reverse lock out from the trigger. I have had a few brake and leave people without reverse, that is one big advantage on the Scat it has a solid shaft running to the lock out plate.
