wheels off, obviously and car on jack stands supported where bulkhead joins pan at the front firewall.
two pairs of vice grips to crimp front brake hoses (but not too tight now). take brakes and drums off and make sure they go back on the same sides.
Don't forget the speedo cable too.
tie rod ends? lossen them first thing and spray a whole lot of WD40 on them where they go into the steering arm on the spindles. If they won't move
still, you can use a nut of the same thread against the orginal nut. You wind it on so that the tread of the rod end is protected. Then a few tap with
a hammer on the extra nut should do the trick. Solid but not too hard. (come back to me if you don't get what I mean)
undo clamp on steering column and the four bolts holding the front beam on. should just slip forward and out using the jack to lower it onto the
ground.
Swap ya steering box onto the new beam and give it a clean a quick paint if like. Then just reverse the process. Make sure when you put the front
drums back on that you have some NEW locking tabs. Then bleed ya brakes up.
There you go. All done. Should take you a few hours but not too long.
BTW, don't change the adjustments on the steering arms or you'll have wheel alignment issues until you can get an alignment done.

rodends as i give the bit where the taper goes into a tap with a big hammer to break the taper apart, then do the stuff pete mentioned above where
