VW Racing DVD For Sale
VW Racing DVD
1 hour and 10 minutes of in-car and amateur footage of super sprints and hill climbs held at Oran Park, Wakefield Park and Eastern Creek raceway.
Shot list
1. A 10 minute session with the Porsche Club of NSW at Oran Park South shot from the diagonal cross-bar of CT Hansen’s modified 1915cc, 1956 model
VW beetle. See footage of Jak Rizzo’s winged purple 2275cc Superbug, Rudi Frank’s wild silver sport-sedan 1915cc L-bug, Paul Locciano’s
wheel-lifting blue bumperless L-bug, Deiter Holzl’s slick tyred 1915cc Superbug and a brief glimpse of a Porsche GT3-RS as it rocket’s past and a
996 Turbo as CT tries to catch it on the last lap.
2. Various track-side footage from Oran Park as weber-fed beetles scream past at 6000 to 7000 rpm. Footage is taken from the dog-leg, the final turn
and the first turn of the south circuit.
3. In-car footage from Jak’s superbug at Eastern Creek in the wet. Ever been scared driving your beetle in the wet? Jak certainly isn’t has he
approaches 180 kmph down the straight and calmly has the car in opposite lock through turn 4.
4. See Deiter and CT both getting it wrong with 2 versions of the same spin; outside the car and on the in-car camera.
5. CT’s in-car again but this time at Eastern Creek in the dry. You may notice the difference between street tyres that cause a big tank-slapper
coming on to the main straight and the faithful old Yokohama A008’s which settle things down a bit.
6. A quick nippet of Wakefield Park nestled in a sea of black Porsche Boxsters.
7. The 2005 Wakefield Park round of NSW Hill Climb Championship. There’s 3 or so runs from Greg Ward, Craig Torrens and Nathan Abbott all in Stan
Pobjoy specials. You’ll also see Rudi Frank and John Ladimarous (Sorry about the spelling John) giving Hill Climbs ago in the silver sports sedan
L-bug. Finally you’ll see Peter McLeod trying to tame his Subaru WRX powered Porsche Speedster replica.
The still images don’t do the quality of the footage justice. The DVD is simply paused and I’ve used a digital camera to photograph the monitor.
The In-car footage is pretty good. The majority is from a high quality digital camera. Some of the outside footage is good but some of it may make you
sea sick.
The format of the disks is DVD-R which plays on everything I’ve tried it on including computers, playstation 2s and home DVD palyers.
The cost is $25 and that includes postage anywhere in Australia.
If you’d like a copy please email me at ct_hansen@yahoo.com.au , phone me on 0421 053 275 or if you think that’s a bit dodgy I’ll put these on
ebay for added security.

Hi
I've got heaps better footage than in that original DVD. There's even some from this year with outside footage of Jak smoking the tyres at Oran park
thanks to the EJ20T or whatever it's called.
I might put anothe together over the weekend. I'll let you know.
