*not VW* - outboard motors.

Any outboard motor repairers or mechanics.
I have a 115HP Johnson motor on my ski boat.
The hydraulic tilt and trim shit itself. Thats not the problem as I used to be a hydraulic technician.
How do i get it out with the motor stuck down.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to pull the engine off.

any help greatly appreciated.

The motor for the trim and tilt used to be inside the boat on mine and easy to get at.If its the rams on the outside that have blown a seal and you have to lift the motor, just put a jack under the skeg and the motor will pivot up on the hinges. Does that make any sense?

disconnect allthe lines and u will b able to lift it by hand and use the manual lock to keep in the up position to do your repairs and buy all your seals from bsc as johnson charge you a fortune for genuine spares
