stock wheels


morning all

i was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a set of new stock 15' 4 lug wheels that i can powder coat black for my 71 type 3

any help would be appreciated,

maybe classic vw in rydalmere, dont recall seeing any while i was there but wouldnt suprise me if there was some

Any VW shop or service centre should have a bunch of them stacked out the back - I got a set of stock wheels for next to nothing a while back. I also gave away a whole set with brand new tires about a year ago... Put up a wanted ad in the buy/sell section and I'm sure you'll get some cheap.

EDIT: Brand new might be harder to find - but you can easily sandblast old ones and have them powdercoated.

are Type 3 the same as Type 1??

I know there are 2 sorts of Type 1- different offsets
