Aftermarket racing seat and harness legalities?
Id like to put a couple of fixed back race seats and four point harnesses in my street drag beetle, does anyone know the legalities of whats allowed
and what isnt? I understand they must be ADR approved which ruins my plans for some kirkey seats, but what else is needed? anyone know where I can
find the relevant info? I searched but couldnt find anything. Id just put whatever I want in but I need to get this car through blueslip so it needs
to be close to legal at least.

From getting mine down in qld
- seat must be adr approved
- use the old seat bases and have the welding done by a good welder/ or prfessional welder
- belts have a min required plate size, for both sides of the steel you mount into.
- you are limited to 4point, with a normall style buckle (eg no goose neck or rotary buckle)
- make sure you get the angle on the belts right.
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!
