Rocking gearstick under load / gearbox mounts

I have noticed thatwhen driving the splitty, the gearstick is rocking backwards and forwards when I put the gas on and take it off. The bite on the clutch seems to be a bit closer to the gorund as well.

Is this a symptom of trashed gearbox mounts?

I have been meaning to replace the nosecone brass bush in the selector rod in the g/b nosecone, and this might be my opportunity.

Cheers

Steve

Hi

Sounds like a broken mount or nose cone. Put the car in gear with the motor and handbrake off, get someone to rock the car back and forward to see whats moving.
