I've got new custom-made fitted floor mats!

I've got new custom-made fitted floor mats! I couldn't find anywhere in Australia that does Beetle mats, and the American ones have the pedals on the wrong side, so I eventually found a place in England that does them.

They come with a choice of trim colour, and there are mats available for all the different years of Beetle (the shapes change slightly depending on what year the car was made). They have a heavy crumb rubber backing so they don't slip at all. I chose black with red trim to match my car's colour scheme, and they look great!

They are made by Newton Commercial ( http://www.newtoncomm.co.uk  ). I spoke with a guy called Duncan Goodwin who was extremely helpful. The mats are good value by UK standards, but postage and the exchange rate make them quite pricey over here: my credit card statement shows $181 all up... but they look so good and they fit so perfectly that I think they are worth the money!

My new mats: (I got the rear ones the wrong way round in this pic)

And they fit perfectly and match the steering wheel and the rest of the car:

Looking good.

They also have carpets and trim for Busses, so I've added them to the aussiekombicampers.com links.
