Roll cages in street cars

yeah um whats the legalities on them other than they cant obstrust entey/exit of the vehicle? would a bar that runs across the door opening following the line of the seat still be acceptable? and what about the forward-most bars running parrallel to the a pillars, legal or not? like can you go full cage with the exception of the door sections or are you limited to a 1/2 cage?

I run a full cage with front loop, centre loop over top of front seats, drop backs to parcel shelf area, left to right cross bracings in 3 different locations and intrusion bars through the door openings...
My excuse, "It's a convertable and they are required by law to have roll bars"...
Works for me...

In the police states of Vic and N$W you could have problems. Coppers here love defecting cars for roll cages and any other performance mods.
Could even be considered a hate crime or terrorizm.

Why are you putting a roll cage in? you may not need a full cage for the purpose.
