tie rod & steering box
i want to swap the steering box and tie rods from a 1964 type 1 and fit to an early 1960 KG. the later steering box has a slightly different shape and
size drop (pitman) arm and the drivers side tie rod has adjustable ends and the rod is straight. the early tie rod is non adjustable and has a slight
bend. are they interchangable

Brian
I think the 60 model has the different arm to fit into the fuel tank area as there are 2 different fuel tanks, so that may be why the different
pitment arm, dont worry about the bends
find some tie rods that are fully adjustable on both ends much easier to do the wheel alignment let me know, i have a few tie rods you can use
if needed
when fitting make sure you center the steering box turn to turn before fitting the tie rods ring me

Whats wrong with the early steering box? If it's still close to servicable I'm interested in it. If it's beyond service I'd still be interested in
it.
thanks
