urethane suspension bushes
The rubber ones from my rear torsion bars look ok, not perished or anything, but I am going for the lower ride height. I should just get new urethane
bushes shouldn't I?
Is it just the outer bushes behind the spring plate covers, or are there more inside the torsion tube?
Whats the market price on em?

Just my experience with them-I was going thinking to replace mine with urethane ones but when me and a mate took his suspension apart just to raise it
his urethane bushes just crumbled. they'd become dry and useless. He'd had the buggy for some years but my buggy which I'd had for some years
longer had black rubber ones which were as good as gold , needless to say he went and bought standard rubber after that.

Make sure they are nolathane or a known brand, a lot of VW part suppliers sell crap.

The trick is when using urethane or nolathane or what ever apart from OEM rubber you must lubricate with molybond grease to stop binding or
deteretion of the material
