old Palm PDA help/software needed

I've just acquired an older palm IIIxe. Would anyone have some software to sync with outlook? Seems palm only want you to use their system. To sync with outlook they want $29.95US, more than I paid for the PDA.

I haven't got any myself, but if you go to http://www.auspug.org  and join the forum (i'm a moderator on there) ask the question and I'm sure you'll get some assistance :)

The hotsync plugin for outlook is buried deep somewhere on the palm website. I don't remember if it works with outlook express anymore. I think it does. Not sure.

I still use my beat-up m500 daily. Heaps of free software too at http://www.freewarepalm.com  I think... I don't remember. Sorry!

Just wish there was a hotsync plugin for thunderbird. Then I'd be truly happy.
