Not sure what my engine is

G'day guys

I recently bought a 1963 bug and was told the engine was a 1300, but my dad reckons its a 1200. The engine number is 8775911. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Usually the inlet ports give indication as to 1200 or 1300 etc. Vertical inlets = 1200 and angled = 1300, 1500 and 1600.
