Seatbelts, in the back of a 63 bug...

Has anybody done lap/sash seatbelts (the non-retracting type) in the back of one before without making any new holes? Where are the existing bolts for them located? Some pointers would be great. Thanks

am guessing it is pre-seat belt time.

there wont be any holes - you will need to add them.

this would need to be an approved modification

My 63 has the seat belt threaded holes behind the rear quarter windows - and same under the back seat above gearbox nose cone area. Not sure if yours has the same?

Mine has the holes you are talking about, they have plastic plugs in them at the moment. I am trying to find a shop that has a bolt the same thread as those holes so I can bolt the seatbelts to them. I took the threaded plug that was in them and showed it to a couple of places but they couldnt help me at all.
