new to the forum
Hi my name is scott , I am 19 and I live in New York. I know thats a long ways from you guys and I hope you dont mind a yankee in the forums. I love
this site my dad showed it to me bc I have a sweet spot for rat dubs and there are plenty of them on here. well my first car was an 87 16v vw
scirocco. It was a great such a great learning exspierence for me and I still love it. Recently i bought an 85 jetta gli which is my new rat
project. I know most of you guys are aircooled but where I live goin aircooled just isnt good all year around. My dad learned to drive in a really
early bug his parents had, after that he bought a red/orange splitty which he named the loaf of bread. His next car in his early 20s was a 1965
porsche 356 sc which he still has and is in the process of restoring(outlaw style). But thats about it i just wanted to introduce myself. I hope to
learn lots from this forum , I spend alot of time on VwVortex too. heres a pic of me and my rocco

Welcome to the nuthouse Scott. We used to see a fair few Scirocco's around in the 80's, but not many around here nowadays. Looks like a nice ride,
and pretty mean in black.

you can't get Puma Trainies like that here either, but there ya go. Water cooled is okay - just ask the Most Rev Pete Woods, shove a sube in that and
away you go...but seriously. Welcome. Just don't believe a word anyone writes, most of them are drunk after 9pm.
So tell me, in the USA, with 220V, how long does it take to freeze a can of beer to decent low temp? are you a 'give it air around it' or a 'pack
it with peas' kind of bloke?
