bumper color

I have a 65 standard beetle that I am restoring and am not sure what color the bumpers should be painted. I believe they were silver originally and not chromed. Can anyone suggest what to do?

depends on model as to whether they were chrome or silver. generic wheel paint is a pretty close match to the original i think and is really easy to use in a can.
