Fish oil is crap, use penetrol on the inside everywhere you can get it, and controlled use on the outside...then wax the outside, every 3 months, use
lanolin after youve waxed, will come up na treat...look at the ute in my avatar, ratty surface rust all over and will never rust again...

Fish oil is smelly but it works. U also need to pour it into the heater channels and central tunnel after blocking off the drain hole in front of the
tranny and the drain holes under the heater channels near the running board: 2 each side under rubber caps. Pull 'em out carefully. Use blu-tac to
plug holes. U can put 5 litres into the central tunnel and 1.25 litres into each heater channel.Lift the rear seat and unscrew central tunnel cover to
get acess; heater tube opposite has room for pouring with a small funnel. Pour carefully aforesaid amount. To stir, chock the front wheels, both sides
of each wheel. Lift the rear of the car 4-5 inches with a trolleyjack on the member between the engine and tranny. Then lower and chock back wheels,
both sides of each wheel. Lift the front of the car 4-6 inches with the trolleyjack under the framehead. Put a dish under the end of the left rear
tranny fork beforehand as oil will run out here. Put dishes under the drain plugs u are about to open and recollect the fish oil. Use it again in 18
months the same way. There is usually rust in central tunnel and heater channels. good luck. Richardh. |
