window probs

have a 56 oval, drivers side window a bit hard to wind down(not to bad up). is this a common problem(worn regulator or something maybe) any guidance would be great as i havent tracked down a workshop manual yet, not game to pull things apart till i know how to put them back together. thanks Rob
