Help with chassis number

Can anyone help a mate of mine who has an oval with the following chassis number.
10911103
He wants to know if anyone knows when this chassis was manufactured, or can lead him to a source of info about it.
Thanks.

Are you sure it's 8-digit? Most likely, for an oval with original chassis it would be '55-'56, but these are 7-digit chassis numbers. 1964 was an anomolous year when numbers jumped from 6 XXX XXX to 1XX XXX XXX, without actually selling 100,000,000 Beetles that year.
