a question about fasty's
how much would you think a mint condition 1970 fuel injected fasty would fetch, original everything including toolkit, jack ,radio, interior
everything like new , not a speck of rust not a dint in the paint ,owned by a little old lady since new ( well i guess she would not have been a
little old lady 35 years ago i would class this a a best unrestored at most vw shows

probably as much as someone would be prepared to pay.
Seems that fasties don,t sell when the asking price exceeds $3000 even if they are good ones and usually the sellers are losing money that has been
spent.
Spoke to a girl in Victoria the other day with a rust free(her words) 70 square asking price $1800 negotiable- no interst shown after a year of
advertising through various mediums.Shhe is the second owner and said she had the original books and service records.
car was previously owned by another little old lady.

noticed you have had only 30 odd views to your question and one reply (being mine)
This would suggest what most users to this site think of fasties.
You would have had more success generating some replies if you had headed your post 'a joke about a fastback" etc etc.
Personally think type 3,s are great cars and with the right paint,lowering and wheels tyres etc do attract interest.
They are worth saving and preserving.

Sounds like a great car David, unfortunately as others have said, late model type 3's are not considered that collectable by enthusiasts. Personally
I don't understand why, but maybe one day they will be as early models become rarer and harder to restore.
Cann't really give a price, but if it's reg'd and RWC should be worth at least $3,000. Having said that, she might be lucky to get $1,000 for it.

I think your closer to the mark Purple, lates just aren't as popular as early Type 3's. I'm a bit biased, but the early models look so much
sleeker, particularly up front with the rounded nose. I love my notch, but happen to think early fasty's are the prettiest model, they're just not
as functional as the good old square or even notch.
