That is what that car yard is asking.
I sold a chop 63 for $50 once. Had been registered as a tourer too!
Have seen them have prices as high as $12000.
So at a guess, somewhere in between those two figures would be something to go by.

Hi
I just wrecked a 1960s chop top, it rusted from the inside out, it must have been like a greenhouse inside. Thank god the craze has nearly stopped
before we ran out of cars, they were bringing stupid money.

It's still going crazy Steve. I was talking to Korshy last week. He had some young girl come in who'd just paid $9k for an after market chop
top....leaked like the proverbial. If she'd put her hand in a little deeper into her pocket she would've found herself an honest daily driver leak
free Cabriolet.
But you're tight....it is dying out. The more people we can turn off doing that sort of shit, the more cars we'll have to restore in our older
years. LOL.

Hi
Yep for few dollars more she could have had the real McCoy like yours, which can only increase in value.
I reckon in time someone is going to have to make a fibreglass bug shell, then all you will need is a good pan.
I cant believe how poorly put together this one I wrecked was, I could go on and on but I wont bore everyone.

That car doesn't exactley look like a bucket of shit....
Too many people seem to be of the opinion that they can polish one of their turds and ask 9K for it...!!!
That car has probably a shite load of money spent on it (more than they are asking that's for sure),(a paint job like that alone could easily be more
than half the asking price of the car) and I have no doubt it will sell for what they have on it... ...
Maybe not to anyone on here, but someone will love it enough to give it a good home....

my girlfriends super was heading in that direction ,it was her first car and she has now owned it for 15 or 16 years , when she bought it the owner
was going to fit the whale tail etc , it has globe wheels on it as you can see its got the fibreglass bumper kit on it the next thing after would be
the chop ...........ouch now it will be going back to original but alittle lower

I hate em, and you could buy three decent early bugs for that, people who do that to em and ask for those sort of dollars should be shot.

i recon, since its already done, that is quite a nice looking example of a chop top, in fact it is the first bug i have seen with that bonnet that i
have actually liked the look of. as for price, i would have thought it was a couple of K too dear by market values , but if someone came along and
fell in love with it, provided the engineering was as good as the car looks i definitely think they would be getting a fair deal.
