94 WRX? I'd throw it and buy a late STI 2.5. A 94 wouldn't be worth rebuilding these days would it? Even the heads are the old style.

I did, bore, deck, chemical clean, balance rotating elememt, supply Arias forged pistons for $1200 on the 2.0 ltr. I assembled it from there.+ $200 for head gaskets.
I can get you a brand new USA STI 2.5 shortblock delivered on the East Coast for $2900, +900 for CP forged pistons.
I'm just running all my 94 gear on this block (less forged pistons), small turbo limits it but still plenty to get you into trouble with.

I know your mate robin .He did my ecu cut down , dam thing is going in the bin .
He tryed to get it right but still having issues ( not many ej20 n/a donks down under ) :)

thanks Pete , one would just about remove his 94 wrx heads from his motor & fit them to the short block .

But I think I will strip my $125.00 94 wrx motor down & rebuild it like you did .was that $200.00 for head gaskets in the ( full kit ) ? all the gaskets for the motor ? bearing how many ?

I dont mind spending the $ on the sti unit but its the gear box mate .( keeping it together ) I am ordering a usa box for it very soon , working it on a group buy .

Just wish I can use my twin turbo auto , or late wrx gear box .

The vf 10 would be ok ?

cheers seagull

A 2.5forrestor short block would be a cheaper way to go $1750 with forgies.....
