What engine do i have? Engine No is.. S 7635353
i have found an engine and need to know what sort it is,
i pressume it came from a beetle and think it is a 1200 but i might be wrong, the engine number is S 7635353
any one know what it is? or where it came from?

Assuming that it is a Type 1 upright engine.
According to the idiot's guide.
There is no number listed that starts with an S.
Ignore the S. Go on the number only. It's an early 1962 1200cc 40 hp.
That's the best I can do for you.
