( MELB ) 1971 superbug for sale, kit, mags, semi auto
Is that the electrical control valve that isn't working?
Its rare for them to fail...
It doesn't click when power & earth are applied to the pins?
The earth for the Control valve is in the bottom of the gear lever... there could be a fuse under the rear seat..

If you do a search i have posted about this problem quite a bit, there is no clicking sound when power is put to the control valve...

I do remember now....
One of the VW wreckers or VW shops may have a used one for sale... as most late model 1970> Karmann Ghias bought into Australia were AutoSticks...
and many have been changed over to manuals....
plus the AutoStick chassis have the IRS rear suspension...
even in 68-69-70 models....
so many beetles have been changed over too...
finding the bits may be difficult though...
