How do u remove type 3 fasty popout rubbers?

Does anyone know how to remove the rubbers without destroying them??

I want to remove my popout windows and rubbers from my 66 fasty but I am nervous that I will either damage the rubbers or break the window....

Any help would be appreciated.

Howdy

There are 4 screws 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. They are roughly a third of the way along the rubber. Carefully pull the rubber back and undo the screws and nuts and undo the latch that opens it .

Then carefully push out the class and rubber together with a friend outside helping..

Glass windows that bend** Yes Bend***

Good one Marc....

I was at a loss, at how to do that...

Normal glass isn't too bad but those are really rare....

Glass that bends is pretty rare in any car I would say....

no problems.

I just got 2 set out of wrecks I have in the back yard and am in the proccess of getting the stuff to try and help the rubbers so I can put 1 set in my daughte'sr 73 fastie when we repaint it .

But as Dave said be VERY carefull with the rubber as it will rip very easily.
