finally!!!!!!!!!
well last friday i finally decided to go for my Learners,
i got them and have been driving around in the old mans bug. AWESOME!
the down side is i have to do 50 hours before i can drive on my p's and becoz dads car aint always here i have to drive a swift. shit box "cough
cough"
and the other thing is it has Betty Boop seat covers and those stupid dangaly winnie the pooh things that you put on ur windows. and my sister wont
let me take them down.
I had this car load of boys pull up next to me in a commodore and do that fag hand thing, wave and blow kisses. I went so RED and was so imbarrassed.

Just remember mate that young guys in commodores are all dickheads, i was in my kombi once and a dunnydore full of young boys were in it and said you
wanna race i looked at them and said what do you think dickhead, commodore is latin for f$%^wit. Holdens were cool till they bought out the VB
commodore, then it all went down hill.

yep... commo drivers are wankers... mind you i own two of them... but they are bog standard stationwagons hehe
I've had a a few dickheads in dunnydores pull up at lights laughing... dragged em off a few times... ignored there asses a few times... but last
time, they decided too give me some shit.... so my curt response was... "Yeh mate, see how long it takes your polished turd to be wrapped around a
tree... next Commodore you'll be riding in will be a shiny white and blue VY..."... and with that burned of some rubber round the corner...
cant be bothered humouring wankers anymore
If ya drive half an hour a day steve, shouldnt have any trouble getting ya 50 hrs up... I did my last 20 hours within one month then racked up another
in the 2 months 30 between then and getting my P's.... so yeah... 80 hrs, and 50 were done in 3 months
Good luck man!

VWs will always be picked on by the wankers brigade thats why i love sleepers so much, completely unexpected
there are to many hot looking vws out there that couldnt drag off a loaded school bus coz ppl would rather spend all their $$ on looks rather than
perfomance

I work with a commodore driver and i lay the shit on him big time, he says it aint a commodore cause it's actually a berlina whats the f%^&in
difference, so now i just call him a lexcen driver. His first day at work he asks me what car i drive i tell him a VW, then he says i think VW's are
a bucket of shit, i then come back with your a commodore driver aren't you. The battle continues.
This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

DUB74L: sleepers are awesome, a friend of ours has a ke30 corolla, everyone pays him out as he s sitting at the lights waiting, because its not the
nicest or neatest car you will ever see, and they are always people with commos or fords ETC, but little do they know it actually has a 1G motor (twin
turbo supra, runs a 12) and when they see you take off they think WHAT THE, that aint supose to do that.
Shits em right off.

really deceptive. It is always funny to see the looks on others faces when he totally blows them away at lights in the oval

HAHAHA nice come backs fekkinell and 66deluxe. I would have loved to have seen their faces.
I remember a few years back me a few mates took a run up to double bay at sydney for some ice cream and we went through the city. This VB crapdore
pulls up next to us. He'd spent that much on thing trying to make it look like a mercedes that it was laughable. He had body kit look a-like and even
modified the dash.
My mouth dropped open I was that shocked at how shit it looked before one of the passengers sticks his head out the window and says he'll stab me if
I keep looking at the car. COME ON, it was bright canary yellow!!!
What a buch of fully sick w@nkers!!!

lol, i'm a VP commodore driver :P
Does that mean i can blame my 'dickheadness' to the car!! Lol.
The drivers might be a-holes, but the car itself is great. Ours is still ticking and starting 1st time, and since 91 its been driven absolutely
everywhere, all conditions, all speeds. The downside would be the interior, the plastics just don't last as long as steel.

My VN shits me.... Ive got the headlining pinned and stapled up in a zillion places cos it has come unstuck from its backing....and every other VN
seems to have the same issue.
VN paint is also shithouse... colored layer fades and the clear layer lifts and it all goes chalky no matter how well looked after the car is.
Basically...drive it in the sun and your up for a respray. :duh
the fuel pump, crank angle sensor and oxygen sensor commonly go south... my one has done 3 crank sensors, two oxygen sensors and a fuel pump since
1999. It's also had two coil packs replaced within 6 months of one another....after which I put in a pack from a VR.
I also had to replace the steering rack last year as it was pissing out all the ATF from the p/steer ont the ground... I'd have to top it up after
every drive! :duh
The air con is intermittant, the rear vents for whatever reason no longer allow air through, and the automatic shifter is very crappy... imprecise and
has a quite a lot of play. ad Commodore handbrakes are worse than VW ones!
saying that tho...I stilll like it....not love it by any means...but ive grown attached, as it was my first registered car. And I do indeed like the
power reserves... although mine still seems noticably sluggish.
One thing I do really enjoy about it is the fact that It hasnt been started in two months, yet it kicked over first go still when i gave it a run...
does seem to have some flat spots tho.
but anyway...Commodore rant over

I bought a new VN wagon when they were first released. I dorve it ou tof the showroom and it was stuck in 2nd gear. Had to go back to get it fixed
before I could go home. On the way home, the speedo broke and I got a fine. Over the next 6 months, we had something like 43 faults in it. After
the front passenger window just shattered one night, we got rid of it and will NEVER buy a holden again.

yeah, the headlining seems to die often.
I can't say the commodore hasn't had any work. its always been left in the weather, and after 14 yrs, only started to develope some rust (surface)
on the pillar between the front and rear door on the drivers side. Other than that, neva says die.
Rumour has it the old holdens just keep ticking. My uncles kingswood does, can't say it has been perfect, especialy after a shockie smashed through
its mount and the bonnet :o (but thats another story, Hehe)
