Can you get fibreglass front wings for type3's?

yet another of my questions, has anyone ever seen or heared about fibreglass front wings for a type 3? (I have come from mini's with full fibreglass flip fronts)
Mine are a wee bit rusty up near the scuttle, and thought it may be agood fit and forget repair and hopefully a wee weight saving.

You could try Roy at Classic Vee Dub [Pacific] as He imports parts etc from the UK..

I know that fibreglass type 4 guards used to be made in the UK...
ie. for VW 411 & 412s...

so I would presume that type 3s would have been too..

but the rust problem is so great over there....
there may not be enough type 3s left in the UK to warrant them being made....

But You never know Your luck....

cheers

Lee

They have a different approach to many of their parts...
just screw over the top of the panel....
or leave the rusted floor there and screw a new one under it....

Fiberglass is a good weapon against rust.....:P:P

yeah, the screw over the top stuff IMO is just bodgy. but the fenders could be ok. postage cost could make nos fenders look cheap. and also squareback and notchback rear fenders are different if they don't make both types.
