Hi again,

We also had 1300 engines in the torsion bar [non super] beetles in 1971-72-73-74- 75

and the 1976 was our last year for the Beetle....

and it wasn't a Super Beetle....

I reckon it was the best Beetle - IRS rear end - torsion bar front suspension - flat windscreen & dash...

We never had fuel injection engines.... in Beetles...
only in the type 3 fastback...

those numbers etc Chris were mainly for USA Beetles...

We went from 1500 single port engines in 1970 to 1600 Dual port Engines
in the New 1302S SuperBug in 1971....

In the UK they actually had a "Beetle" with a Beetle badge on the engine cover...

It was the 1972 GT Beetle.... which had the dual port engine in a torsion bar 'Non Super' body...
[only in the UK...]
