6-12 volt


hi guys im new to this and was just wondering is it true that if you change two wires somewhere that it will convert 6 volt to 12 volt ? if not how do you do it ?do you have to change all the wireing and relays as such or just put on a 12 volt alternaterand go from there ,any help will be greatly appreciated thanx:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce

Go through the search function looking for 12v - this is covered in quite a few threads. I'll be doing the same thing myself in time. Good luck, and welcome to the forum.

Just done it fro m 6volt/to 12volt you need a 12volt alter or genarator change all globes ,in dash globes 12volt battery voltage dropers for wipers coil 12olt flasher for blinkers cost about $700.00:tu: is worth the price you can drive at night then:party:party

go find an Auto Electrican who knows VWs.

Where abouts are you

No its not true if you change 2 wires.

Two wires - wouldn't that be great! No you need to change EVERYTHING and unelss you have a 12V donor car/wreck to pull bits from, it wil cost several hundred bucks

You can buy upgraded 6V QH headlights bulbs that will increase your light 200%
