VOLLKOMMEN ART's junka build up(10.44 @ 131.39)
Hi guys,
I bought a 1967 1300 deluxe and am planning to build up a budget streeter using the junk I have sitting around.
I don't care how bad it looks or how ruff it turns out, It is meant to be quick, cheap, and fun!
So if anyone has Ideas that would be cool, keeping in mind that want to use the crapp I already have.

think it's cool as it is
other than needing to be on its guts with a cool engine up back.

How about leaving the suspension stock and just adding some 6" slicks.
This assumes the rest is in good condition, and aligned.
Also leaving the engine stock internals, but add some springs and some extra oil capacity.
And boost of course...lots of it!

Those chrome rostyles you guys got on the fatty square, dumped, and a turbo 1300 single port. Dont narrow it or anything, just throw on some
adjusters, some meaty swaybars, and some decent shockers and torsion bars. Throw in a super diff and bolt a radio flyer to the roof, away we go!

Man I wouldn't do anything to that car that I couldn't undo, she looks real nice as is.I like the old style fenders w/ covered lights,to me were the
best looking .I would pull the motor and trans, replace them with better parts(2110 turbo),and keep the originals as an assembly, from what I can
tell,she looks pretty original,something I almost never see anymore,have fun with her,also I like the stock wheels,make a hell of a sleeper,imagine
clicking off a 12 second pass against some v8,talk about jaw drop

Ha Ha
stock height that's funny!
low is the way I like them.
I will put adjusters in the front and might just tubb it while I'm there. And I need to reinforce the rear horns so I may as well raise the engine
and gearbox up too. The car is not that good so I don't feel guilty cutting it up. So guys don't stress I'm not wrecking a good car.
JUNK PARTS
well not junk, just stuff I have tried (AND PAID FOR) and shelved. Turbo's,computers, nos kits, gearboxes, engines lots of $$$$$$ so it would be cool
to use them all. But it must be simple.

Started on the front end
Fixed up the rust in the drivers side heater channel. Pulled the beam out and master, lines and tank. New lines and master for safety and a B&M line
lock for safety too.

but please, I don't want anyone to judge me on quality of work on this thing as I am not serious or expecting this car to run numbers or anything. I
just want to have fun.
I don't know why Dave assumes I will bolt 6'' slicks on. LoL

This must mean that that the green Kombi is gone right?
Ready to fill up that space now? I can drop off this weekend.
Back to your question. Forget the Turbo. Go big bore and a multi stage Nitrous Kit. Use the computer to activate it progressively.
Don't forget the purge kit, just for the track of course.

The front had to be modified to fit the beam.
I have always felt that shocks on the front are a good thing.

1300 deluxe tank mods
O.k Pete here goes.
Cut the tank up to fit the hole. It is also a good time to weld in a surge tank for the E.f.i pick up.
1/2'' pick up to the marine style filter(old school) and the tube is the return instead of running it into the top.
Next I will get that POR 15 tank cleaner and sealer kit for the inside protection of the welds and bare steel.

And this is a budget build up ! Any issues welding the tank ? I remember hearing that even after a thorough clean there can still be traces of fuel.
Can you post better pics of where the surge tank sides meet the bottom of the tank please ?
