Thanks Anthiron. I'd already tried Mick Motors (on Friday) and not everything was available. For example, the mains bearings were not (although they
did suggest cutting a thrust to suit), they do not have a set of 1500 B&Ps and couldn't say when they'd have in stock a 3 rivet oil pump with filter
attachment. Neither do they have stainless tailpipes in stock. Last pair sold last Thursday. I forgot to enquire about the cyl. heads. So I thought
I'd try here for some of the bits.
So, can anyone help?
Paul.

PS I also forgot to ask about the crankshaft gear puller. Does MM stock these?

Hi,
I think possibly, You won't picl All these items up at the one VW shop...
When restoring My Beetle, I bought parts from about 12 different VW parts suppliers. from different states.
including some importers...
I thought I saw some New 1500 heads for sale in an add.
not sure where.... they are pretty rare...
most engines, including My H engine are now 1600 single port engines.
I have also bought many parts from Mick Motors too...
best of Luck
Lee

1964_Notch - Thanks for that. I'd send you a U2U but I haven't posted the mandatory 5 posts yet so can't. I'll bear what you're offering in
mind.
68AutoBug - Thanks for the follow-up message to your own message. Good advice. I've replied directly to you.
Paul.
