0-100kph Times for Quick Volksies

I was wondering how quick some of our VW's are sprinting to 100kph.?

Say for streetcars in the 15sec down to 11sec bracket and for drag VW's from 11's down to 8's.?

7's, Rod..???

Anyone with a programme that could calculate this?

It would be interesting to compare the times of Streeters to Supercars such as Porsche and Ferrari.!

WTF gives with the poll vote? How do I delete this?

I have a UK mah with a story on a Suby powered bug that pulls 3's to 100 and runs an 11 or so. My old ricer ran mid 6's to 100 and was a flat 15 car. Hope that helps.

I was reading a Poorsche mag about a modified 996t that does a 0-100kph in 3.6sec and does the 1/4 mile in 11.8

Does a 0-100mph in 7.6secs and has a top end of over 190 mph

When my car was in the high tens it took 2.5 seconds on the video to get to 64mph@7000 in second gear.

Rodneys data logger says his time is less than 2 seconds.

Top fuel gets past 100mph in the 300 inch wheel base.

THAT is astounding. By the time the back wheels get to where the front wheels were sitting still on the start line, they are doing 100mph!

I might go out and measure my acceleration to 100 kays tomorrow - good excuse for a drive. I reckon about 7 seconds... maybe... I hope!

I read an article with the new 997 twin turbo and it did an 11.5 quater totally stock. That guy in the uk is running a close ratio box, and claims 320+bhp without his NOS. I want taller gears in mine..1st, 2nd...leave 3rd and freeway tall 4th. We timed mine with one of my mates cheap looking inertia? in car gizmo's he got from somewhere, and with bad surface(lots of spin and drift) it said 4.4sec 0-100. I'll tell you hopefully in a couple of wednesday nights.

Hey Mr Paton, whats going on?

I think he is getting his camera ready.

Sorry Craig, we've been waiting a long time.

Try this craig:

http://wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

Rodneys best of 5.86@124 is equal to : 1.37 sec!

My best with the N/a engine is 7.18@94.22 = 2.91 sec.

Jak, what setup do you have? Car? Engine, etc?

Also which model G-Tech are you using?

according to the web link that Dave supplied , my turbo oval on street tyres does 0-100kph in 2.5secs . This was calculated on my best 1/8 mile run of 7.193 @ 101.8 mph .
