I am pretty confident the stock shock tower seam welded with a couple of gussets would be stronger than that kit. A flat plate with a stiffener up the back isn't a real good design.

I only put small gussets on my first beam, but my current thing beam has much bigger gussets.

what he did with the lower trailing arm would be illegal here too. you can't weld forged suspension components for street cars.
