What ever happened to...

A couple of years ago I had the pleasure at Stockton of riding in a turbo'd 1600. It was an experience I'd never quite forgotten with an amazing power to weight ratio of this manx bathtub on steroids. It was an engineering experiment where he was seeing just how long a stock 1600 would live under extreme boost in sand. I don't know how long it actually lived for.

I think his name was Michael but I'm not really sure. I have photos somewhere. It's been a while. Really nice bloke and of course loved not only VW's but Turbo's as well.

What ever happen to his experiment and him?

I'm guessing the driver, Michael is ok I hope. If he's rebiluding he must be ok.

Wow thats bad news. We were chatting about it and him around the camp fire the other night. Amazing!

Glad I live in the country. Havn't been T-boned yet - *Touches Wood*
