Twin Turbo bug project

A friend asked me to get some pictures of his Twin Turbo Bug project in here, the first two pics show the first setup of engine and trans. The third shows the current setup, with the trans up.

hey does your friend have any detailed shots or advice about fitting his Remmele scoops, I have not cut mine in yet but it look like a daunting task.

Cheers Stephen

I was most curious about how he has raised the trans. Or has he done the same as you did Jorg? I was worried about how close the cam covers are to the wings if you raised a quad cam engine with the rear cradle modification..

Hi Rich,

he raised the trans a lot, it is a Renault Unit. It is even longer than a Porsche 915 trans. He did a lot of cutting!
I think he raised the trans at the front and the rear the same amount. Mine is sitting at an angle, more like it is positioned in a Legacy(Liberty).

The sump has the original length!

My questions still stand, very curious about the gearbox installation and to see pics of the chassis of your big modifications.

He has it not yet on the road.
He is using a Renault gear box.
