an electric one is probably possible
dads old nissan had a VDO speed alert that just had a magnetic pick up of the tail shft from memory
so all u'd need is an electronic speedo

since the cable is a direct drive it maybe possible to build an adaptor that will transfer the power to 2 cables therefore to 2 speedos.

use a vdo electronic adaptor and away you go ,power and earth to your new elec spedo and the digital signal from the adaptor --thats it,and you get to
keep your old orig one as well
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Dont USA cars have the cable on the other wheel??

that would be the way to go, having 2 cabels driven from 2 wheels, or failing that the old electric speedo!
CREWCC gps is very unreliable, i know of gps systems that told me i was doing 6kph north, the engine wasn't turned on!!, i was working under the

try a shop that deals with rally cars, they should have (or be able to tell you where to find) splitters used to fit halda's etc.
