61 BEETLE FRONT WINDOW RUBBER WITH CHROME, GLASS!
WANTED~
Hi just wondering if anyone has 61 Beetle front window with chrome insert in good condition.
I have been told they are hard to get out & put back in without damaging is this true & why so many beetle just have black rubber only?? My glass
needs replacing for rwc, so thought i would try to get the chrome back~
u2 me if u have!!$$ must be in Vic!!

its alot easier(lazy) to put the plain rubbers in. the chrome is a barstard to get in rubber slot.
Customer service is not dead in Australia.
Always after HAZET & MATRA & VW factory tools

I have just done this and it has a bad reputation.Putting the chrome in the rubber is no harder than putting the rubber on the winscreen!Put the
rubber on the winscreen and then put the chrome in the little slot.I used a screw driver to open the slot and guide the chrome in.
I did this to find the dickheads at the glass supplier cut the glass too big!So i then had to do it all again the next day.
only took about 1/2 hour.
