F/S (Vic) 64 notch imported model low k's

I'm listing on behalf of a friend who due to other comitments has offered to sell his early Type 3 notch. Its the rare import model with the wide trim

Its been sitting for 12+ years under cover and has great potential for resto, there's no real rust issuses and a near perfect interior the floor mats are perfect as are the seat covers and door panels. As you can see its in need of a good wash and clean on the interior. This is a real good start for anyone who's intrested in a rare early notch. Oh yeah its only done 56000 miles from new.

The price is $2500

I'm near Frankston in Melbourne

Call me on 0430 510321

Definately worth the price. If you've ever driven a low mileage car you will know why!

Ditto...bargain indeed! Looks very honest.
If only I could finish the one I've got...
You should have no trouble selling this IMHO.

>is it a 1500 N or S<

Looks more like a 1964 Australian built "N" rather than a rare import 1965. All early models up to around 1967 had the wide trim. 1965 models had different seat/door trim.

what seat/door trim, DH? did they have the Z armrests? i agree, the wide trim has nothing to do with it. All early models have that including my '65 notch which is a local car.

The only early 1500 Notch (and Squarebacks) cars to have the Z armrests was the "up to 1963 in the N or standard model. The "S" model continued with Z armrests to 1965 but with added trim. The up to 1963 models had the vinyl/cloth backrest on the seats with cloth seats as were the lower portions of the door trims cloth. The hot sun and no doubt sweat played hell here in OZ and after about 3 years they looked rather sad with a bit of use. The trim in this is the OZ made 1964 production vinyl. Most of the S version (German produced) seemed to have the cloth replaced with vinyl. All 1965 models produced here in OZ had single colour seat material including the OZ built 1500s. The OZ built 1500S was essentially a standard body throughout with the twin carbs added, no extra trim, no popouts etc as on the German built ones.

The one above looks rather genuine mid to a bit later 1964 as it has the dash without the slot for the push button light switch. All OZ built ones also had the simple ignition switch as shown in pic.

One thing for sure. Someone save it! Type 3s are great to drive as they had more room etc than the older brothers, easier to work on than other types and dare I say, look much better in the early nose version.

Looks like I am playing the lotto again this week.

Sorry I don't do finance but you could sell an organ if cash is a problem.

I've just pulled the speedo and the date on the rear is 3.64 . From my experience the speedos would have a self life of no more than 3 months before been put into a car.

I'll use my kidney to pay for the resto.
I know a Triad surgeon who operates out of Crown Casino if you'd like to arrange a time.

Mate i reckon if she is imported, she shared the boat out with my ol 64 notch. Mine is west german built, has the same interior and same lights and bumpers. Mine has popouts and twin carb motor only difference i can see. Mine has like yours 64 stamped on various parts. Mate that is an awesome looking car, bring it to the day of on a trailer and that has got to sell!!! Low km cars are awesome, there is no comparison, even fully restored cars will not compete with the drive of that.
