tired of that floppy 6V accelerator pedal....

he hee, hadn't looked at this for a long while, and years later it still cracks me up. SK8 board bearings and too much spare time.....worked out well, positioned it for excellent heel/toe use and it's been going strong for years (my friends still think i'm mad tho :kiss)

I did a similar thing, I was driving my bug and it felt like it had no power on closer inspection the little steel lever thingy was pushing into the accelerator lever and not allowing full travel so i removed the pedal, enlarged the hole with a right angle drill and installed a bolt and a complete skateboard wheel with bearings, ala oval roller pedal, works a treat. Was hard to get used too at first but it is awesome, you can feel the wheel roll under foot also acts as a good foot massage when your driving bare foot.

This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

you're talking that late model stuff again there DUB74L, ain't no rollers on the 60's:kiss...agree too, couldn't live with the wheel/roller thing myself. wanted sumthin' that didn't need your foot wedged up the fire wall to get full throttle and went straight down when "blipping" with the outside of my heavy right foot......i've seen your posts and know you're a rat too:thumb
