Felt channel length question


Hi All, I purchased these window felts a while ago, and now realise that they could be the wrong ones are they to short or is that as long as they need to be? I think the original ones extened the whole lenght of the channel. Could someone pls confirm?

I just get this stuff from Clark rubber and cut it myself.
